We source our major ingredients from sustainable producers, many of which are smaller family run operations.

We believe that no ingredients should go to waste. We batch roast and grind to minimize waste. Any excess, old coffee is saved and used for making other products such as exfoliating body soaps. Products in incorrect packing or nearing end of life are donated.

We believe transportation has a high negative impact on the environment. We do out best to locally source any supplies used to produce our products, or minimize transportation footprint using bulk transportation.

We believe recycling is important in sustainability efforts. We have elected to use aluminum for our pods because at this time, aluminum is a much more widely and easily recycled material with smaller waste and energy footprint when compared to alternatives, including natural fibre and paper based options.

We also use recycled material options for our packaging and offer bulk options for larger orders whenever practical.

While many of our products are not certified organic, we do our best to source natural and organic ingredients whenever possible. In fact, many of our teas and some of our coffees are from organic origins.

We do not use preservatives or artificial flavourings whenever possible. Some of our products require some preservatives or ingredients to make them viable for pod use and storage, however.

We work hard in partnership with our suppliers to ensure the safety of our products being packaged and thoughtfully strive to reduce cross-contamination with allergens. You can find allergy and ingredient information for all of our products on our website.

We use the bare essential number of ingredients and process them minimally and in small batches for freshness, so that you can feel good about the products you consume.

We choose suppliers that avoid practices associated with large scale farming. This also allows us to ensure workers and farmers employed by our suppliers are compensated fairly for their work.

We support other local businesses, and whenever possible, we use local partners for our various business needs. We also use local processors for tasks that we can broker here in Vancouver, BC.

We hire staff of all orientations and origins, in our production facility. We are a small team, that feels like family.
