Water temperature: The water temperature used to brew the coffee is crucial for extracting the full flavor from the coffee pod. Most Nespresso® machines typically heat water to around 190°F (88°C) anyway, which is the ideal temperature for extracting coffee flavor.

Water pressure: Nespresso® machines use high-pressure water to extract the coffee flavor, which is why it is important to use a machine that is in good working condition and properly maintained.

Coffee pod quality: The quality of the coffee pod will have a significant impact on the taste of the final brew. Look for pods that are made with high-quality, freshly roasted coffee beans, and preferably aluminum based, which better protects the coffee inside.

Grind size: The grind size of the coffee beans inside the pod should be consistent, as this will affect the extraction rate and final flavor.

Water hardness: The hardness of the water you use can affect the taste of the coffee. If you notice a metallic or off taste, it might be due to hard water. In this case, you can use a water filter to remove minerals and other impurities, or use filtered water.

Cleanliness: Keep your machine and accessories clean to ensure the best taste. Clean the machine regularly and descale it if necessary.
